“I am truly honoured and grateful to accept the 2026/2027 BOLT Financial Award. Thank you for selecting me as a recipient and for believing in my potential. Receiving this award means a great deal to me. As a student in the HVAC program at Centennial College, this scholarship will help ease the financial burden of my education and allow me to focus on achieving my academic and career goals. Your generosity and support will have a meaningful impact on my future. I sincerely appreciate the time and effort the BOLT Selection Committee dedicated to reviewing my application. Your investment in students like me is inspiring and motivates me to continue working hard, developing my skills, and making a positive contribution to the skilled trades and my community ”

“Receiving this support means a great deal to both me and my family as I enter the final stages of my Civil Engineering degree. This award will help reduce the financial pressure associated with the upcoming academic year and allow me to focus more fully on my education and professional development. Through my studies and co-op experiences, I have developed a strong interest in construction, infrastructure, and the important role engineers play in creating safe, resilient, and lasting communities. It is especially meaningful to receive support from an organization that is committed to helping students build careers in the construction industry. I am deeply thankful for BOLT’s continued confidence in me, and I hope to honour this support by working hard, contributing positively to the industry, giving back to my community, and helping create similar opportunities for future students.”

“Thank you very much for selecting me as a recipient of the 2026/2027 BOLT Financial Award. I am truly grateful to the BOLT Selection Committee for this generous support and for investing in my education. This award will help me continue pursuing my academic and professional goals in civil engineering, and I sincerely appreciate the opportunities it will provide throughout the upcoming academic year.“

“I would like to formally thank the Bolt Scholarship Committee you for selecting me as a recipient of the 2026/2027 BOLT Financial Award. This money will be very helpful in paying for tuition and residence while I attend Fanshawe College in their Welding and Fabrication program. Last year, with BOLT’s support, I was able to focus on my studies without having to obtain a part-time job while in school and allowed me to achieve over 80% on all my welding courses. With this scholarship, I will be able to focus on my education again and I am sure that I will have the same success this year. Thank you very much ”

“Thank you, Thank you, Thank you !!! Reading the email announcing that I had received the BOLT Financial Award filled me with an overwhelming sense of relief and happiness. Within seconds, the emotions became so powerful that tears began to well up in my eyes. When I shared the news with my parents, they couldn’t hold back their tears either. As a newcomer family, we have made many sacrifices to build a new life in Canada, and this award means so much more than financial support. It gives me hope, strengthens my dreams, and reminds me that hard work and perseverance are recognized. Thank you to the BOLT Selection Committee and your generous donors for believing in me. I promise to honour this opportunity and hope that one day I can inspire and support future students, just as you have inspired me.”

The recipients of the BOLT Financial Award can use their awards to cover the cost of tuition, a laptop, textbooks and school materials. Through our network of industry champions, they will also be able to access additional career supports, such as workshops, job shadowing and mentorship opportunities, co-op and summer placements.
